George Frank Norsworthy

George Frank Norsworthy, 90, of Columbus, GA died Friday, January 27, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Tim Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.
George was born December 14, 1932 in Opp, AL to the late Perry and Lilly Cain Norsworthy. George proudly served in the USMC until February 1961. He also married the first girl to steal his heart, Lucille. He absolutely adored her and couldn’t wait to see her and hold her hand again for eternity.
George enjoyed driving himself to Burger King to meet David Roberts and other dear friends for coffee and telling tall tales, otherwise known as old goats and liars club. George never met a stranger.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Lee Norsworthy, daughter, Melissa Craft, and brother Charles Norsworthy.
Survivors include his daughter, Teresa Dow of Columbus, GA; grandsons, Tim Craft of Columbus, GA, Scott Craft of Columbus, GA; granddaughter, Heather Craft of Columbus, GA; great grandchildren, Haylee Craft of Columbus, GA, and Estella Craft of Columbus, GA.
