George L. Mohler, 84, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 17, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dan MacMinn officiating. The family will receive friends after the service according to the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Mohler was born January 23, 1928 in Zanesville, OH son of the late Robert and Garnett Loury Mohler. He worked as a supervisor for Cooper Industries. He was a Methodist by faith and was an Ohio State fan. He loved sports, but most of all loved watching his grandchildren play their sports. He was a pilot and loved going to horse shows, but most importantly, was also a caregiver for his wife.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ellen McCollum Mohler of Columbus, GA, sons, Gregg Mohler (Karen) of Columbus, GA, Chip Mohler of Columbus, OH and Stephen Milner of San Mateo, CA, brothers and sisters, John Mohler, Robert Mohler, Gary Mohler, Robert Hoffer all of Dallas, TX, William Bid Mohler of Dresden, OH, Wilma Rock, Doris Sowers both of Zanesville, OH, Diane Kreis of Adamsville, OH, Mary Krause, Danny Hoffer both of Zanesville, OH, Earl Hoffer of Adamsville, OH, Sandy Church of Zanesville, OH and Linda Robinson of Lincolnton, N.C., four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
