George "Kenneth" Martin, Sr., 73, of Cataula, GA died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at The Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jay Hollis officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Martin was born January 22, 1937 in Thomaston, GA son of the late Autrey Burrell and Ora Clyde WIndham Martin. He was the 1955 Graduate Jordan High School and worked 18 years for Golden Foundry before he retired as a Supervisor for Columbus Foundry's.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his son, George K. "Bo" Martin, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rita Jane Sewell Martin, one daughter, Robin Martin, and one sister, Norma Brashears all of Cataula, GA, and two grandchildren, Albert Martin and Gina Kay Martin both of Cummings, GA.
