Gaylen W. Pike, Sr., 71, of Columbus, GA, died Thursday, September 4, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, September 12, 2014 at Living Grace United Methodist Church, 3969 Edgewood Circle Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Roy White officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Pike was born August 19, 1943 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Archie Erwin Pike and Susie Lee Smith Pike. He is an 11 year Veteran of the United States Military. He served in the Navy as a Diesel Engine Mechanic and also the Army where he served two tours in Vietnam.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Walter, Danny, Mildred, Donald, and Dexter.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Beverley A. Pike; sons, G. Winston Pike (Linda) and Jimmy Pike all of Columbus, GA; and grandson, Robert John Pike of Michigan.
