Gary Thomas Duncan

Gary Thomas Duncan, 44, of Hamilton, GA passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in his home.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Thomas was born on May 31, 1978, to Lavonda Sue Duncan and the late Gary Dwight Duncan.He was a huge fan of hunting, fishing, Alabama Football, and coaching his daughters and niece in softball. He played little league baseball up until the age of 12, when he decided that he would rather cheer on his older sister, Christie, in softball.. Two hobbies that he enjoyed greatly were hunting and fishing with his father. He also passed his love for these hobbies down to his two daughters and taught them everything they know today about hunting and fishing.

Thomas was a graduate of the Jordan Vocational High School Class Of 1996. He worked for himself doing anything from maintenance, electrical, and constructional work. Some would say that Thomas was a “jack of all trades”. Most importantly, he was a loving and caring father, son, and brother who loved his family with all his heart.

He is preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his two daughters, Brandi Corley Duncan and his father Gary Dwight Duncan.

He is survived by his mother, Lavonda Sue Duncan of Hamilton, GA, children, Madison Duncan and Makenzie Duncan both of Hamilton, GA, sister, Christie McLemore (Matt) of Ellerslie, GA, nieces and nephews, Haley Holloway (Brenn) of Ellerslie, GA, Halee McLemore of Columbus, GA, Cole McLemore of Hamilton, GA, Peyton McLemore of Manchester, GA, uncle, Rodney Baker (Terry) of Hamilton, GA, cousin, Rocky Baker (Erica) of Ellerslie, GA and numerous of other family and friends.
