Gary Johann Self, 62, of Columbus, GA passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday October 21, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Stubbs officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Gary was born July 20, 1950 in Straubing, Germany to the late Willis C. and Lotte Self. He has resided in Columbus, GA for the past 60 years. Gary has two degrees from Columbus State University. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and was a member of the Paddle Club.
Survivors include his brother, Klutts W. Self (Debra), sisters, Monika Lisa Kelly (Bill), Faye Flowers (Bill), and Gail Babb (George). He also left behind many loving nephews, nieces, and friends.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
