Gary "Steve" Steven Rushing

Gary "Steve" Steven Rushing, 47, of Columbus died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday August 27, 2016 at Ellerslie United Methodist Church with Reverend Zachary Sasser and Reverend Bruce Vaughn officiating. A visitation will follow the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd Columbus, GA 31908.
Steve was born May 2, 1969 in Bradenton, FL the son of Beverly Tate and the late Gary Banks Rushing. He was an IT administrator with Allure Christie, loved golf and was a U.S. Marine in which his motto was "Once a Marine always a Marine".
Survivors include his mother, Beverly Tate (Larry) of Ellerslie, GA, son, Tyler Steven Rushing of Lexington, KY, brother, Christopher Rushing (Trina) of Dayton, Ohio, aunts, Mary Beth Sasser of Marietta, GA, Brenda Ellison of Columbus, GA and cousins, Jeff Sasser, Staci Bushey and Reverend Zachary Sasser.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ellerslie United Methodist Church 141 Church Street Ellerslie, GA 31807 or your favorite charity in memory of Steve.
