Gary Dewey Goodman

Gary Dewey Goodman, 76, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Dr. Thomas Peavy officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907.
Gary was born July 23, 1946 in Columbus, GA to the late John Dewey Goodman and Jewell Bodiford Goodman. He worked for Liberty Gas Company for 40 plus years as a Service Technician. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1964 and was in the Bob Barr Band and he and his wife square danced for 45 years. Gary loved Iron Man and Triathlon Competitions, enjoyed watching the Columbus Astros Play and was a volunteer for K. Country Duck “WDAK”. He was on the Board of Directors of House of Hero’s and a Boy Scout Leader.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Goodman of Columbus, GA, sons, Steve Goodman of Columbus, GA, Brian Goodman (Fiancé’ Krystyna) of Dallas, GA, grandchild, Macy Witusvyski of Columbus, GA and aunt, Betty Jo Hooks of Columbus, GA.
