Ret. Columbus Police Command SGT Garry Dennis Wisham, 63, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Temple, GA.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Chaplain Roy Isasi officiating.
Garry was born March 7, 1955 in Aberdene, MD son of the late Coy Lee Wisham and Louise Key Wisham. He retired as a Police Officer from the Columbus Police Department. He served on the Fraternal Order of Police as a Board Member and on the Easter Seals of Columbus Board. Garry was a member of the Blue Knights MCC and Director of the Columbus Discharge Program. He was also an instructor for the Columbus Regional Police Academy.
Survivors include his son, Lance Garry Wisham of Columbus, GA, daughter, Kellie Brooke Girnys (Jonathan) of Orlando, FL, sister, Sherry Kimbrell (Robert) of Dahlonega, GA, grandchildren, Carson Adrian Wisham and Keelan Brynn Wisham, mother of his children, Yvonne Wisham of Columbus, GA and so many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Easter Seals of Columbus.
