Garnet S. Scott 87, of Columbus, Ga. died Wednesday at the Columbus Specialty Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday May 13, 2011 in Riverdale Cemetery.
Mr. Scott was born December 21, 1923 in Buena Vista, Ga. son of the late Oscar B. and Alice H. Scott. He was retired from Pekor Iron Works and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy W. Scott, three sons; Richard Francis Scott, Garnet Stephen Scott, and Ronnie Keith Scott (Kathryn), one daughter Deborah S. Duenas (Joe), one brother Billy Scott and one sister Thelma Melton three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
