Gail R. Strickland, 69 of Phenix City died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Monday, December 6, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL with Rev. Ulus Luker officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 till 4 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Strickland was born March 25, 1941 in Barnesville, GA daughter of the late Aretha Nix Roberts and John Benjamin Roberts. She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith. She loved to do cross stitching, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Dewitt Strickland.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Sandy & Scott Dorrill of Phenix City, AL; son, Michael Strickland of Phenix City, AL; sister, Janice Salter of Milledgeville, GA; brother, Jerry Roberts of Macon, GA; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
