Gail Marie Geraci
August 22, 1946 — May 11, 2018
Gail Marie Geraci, formerly of Troy, N.Y., 71, beloved wife of almost 50 years of Kenneth J. Geraci of Troy, N.Y., peacefully entered into eternal life on May 11, 2018 at Kindred Hospice in Columbus, GA. She fought a long and courageous battle with stomach cancer.
Memorial Services will be held 4:00 PM, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends following the service until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. She will be cremated in Columbus, GA and then in the future taken to New York to place her ashes at the grave site in Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Avenue, Troy, N.Y. 12180.
Born in Troy, N.Y. on August 22, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Carl Tedesco and Bulah Hays Tedesco. Survivors in addition to her husband include her son, Kenneth M. Geraci; her brother, William Tedesco; her closest friend and Commandant, Elizabeth Barber; her sisters-in-law, Donna Geraci and Diane Jones (Jim); her granddaughter, Sophie Gail Geraci; her brothers-in-law, John and Joe Geraci and their wives. Gail also had many loving friends in Columbus, GA.
Gail will always be remembered as a caring, creative person who liked doing all kinds of things for others. She was very skillful in crafting and loved working with people, helping them craft things on their own. She loved to read and was never without her tablet. She loved to be around smaller children and cherished the time she had with her granddaughter Sophie. She was even made an honorary Grandmother to a new born in Columbus, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gail's name to the St. Jude Children's Cancer Center, an organization that Gail contributed to often, www.stjude.org.
