Frieda Wünsch Lord, 82, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Vista Care Hospice.
A private graveside service will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Lord was born January 3, 1931 in Augsburg, Germany daughter of the late Peter and Veronika Horsch Wünsch. She was a homemaker and attended The Church of Holy Family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vergil Eugene Lord and great grandson, Charlie Thomas.
Survivors include her daughter, Veronica Corradino (Mike) of Midland, GA, sister, Veronika Gawlik of Germany, two granddaughters, Jennifer Flournoy (Robert) and Melissa Thomas (Bobby) all of Columbus, GA, two great grandchildren, Laney Flournoy and George Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to VistaCare Hospice 100 Brookstone Centre Columbus, GA 31904 or the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Medical Center 707 Center Street Columbus, GA 31901.
