Rt. CW2 Frankie E. Sharp 84 of Columbus, Ga. died Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 3, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Sharp was born January 07, 1931 in Jefferson City, Tennessee son of the late Seba Burchfield and Della Mae Mc Campbell Sharp. He retired after 25 years in the U.S. Army serving in Japan, Germany, Korea and Vietnam and was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church and the Fisherman Sunday School Class. He was a avid Golfer.
Survivors include his wife Jean G. Sharp of Columbus, Ga., one daughter; Kathy Askew (Ronald) of Oklahoma City, OK., one son; Bobby Evans (Vicki) of Hampton, GA., two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
