Frances Theresa Szabo

Mrs. Frances Theresa Szabo, 83, of Midland, Ga died Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Mrs. Szabo was born February 28, 1938, in Paterson, NJ to the late Salvatore (Sam) and Gaetana (Daisy) Corallo. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, LTC(Ret) Richard Michael Szabo, daughter Linda Marie Szabo, and sister Jean Corallo.

She is survived by her children John Louis Tenant of Gilbert, AZ, Laura Jean Ward (Ken) of Midland, GA, Richard Michael Szabo Jr. (Teresa) of Columbus, GA, and Robert Martin Szabo of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Johnny Tenant of Gilbert, AZ, Rachel Ward of Columbus, GA, Kendel Ward of Columbus, GA, great grandson Jaxon Tenant of Gilbert, AZ.

Mrs. Szabo was a supportive military wife for 20 plus years. She was a devoted mother and adored her grandchildren. Frances attended Seton Hall University in NJ and earned a degree in education. She enjoyed spending time reading, completing crossword puzzles, and listening to music. Her favorite artists were Roger Whittaker, Johnny Mathis, Josh Groban, and Sting. She will be dearly missed.
