Frances D. Sparks, 74, of Midland, GA died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Charles Hayes, Pastor Mike Fortenberry, and Mr. Larry Baker officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Sparks was born June 17, 1941 in Patsburg, AL daughter of the late J.C. and Ruby Mae (Cargile) Allen. She worked in the packing department at Southern Foods and attended Edgewood Assembly of God.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie "Bubba" Sparks, sister, Dorothy Lanihan and brother-in-law, Dorsey Henderson.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Baker (Larry) of Midland, GA, granddaughter, Chelsea Frances Baker of Midland, GA, daughter-in-law, Evelyn Gaddis (David) of Marion County, GA, siblings, Willie Allen (Gene), Louise Henderson, Charles Allen (Peggy), Arthur Allen, Ray Allen (Pat), Ann Kralik and J.C. Allen, Jr. (Lydia), and numerous other family members and a world of friends.
