Frances Tant Smith, 88 of Columbus, GA died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 29, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al Serhal officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Smith was born June 10, 1925 in Rome, Georgia daughter of the late Florence Gates Tant and John Tant. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Living Grace Church and Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Georgia Power Ambassadors.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Travis Smith.
Survivors include her daughters, Anne Smith Stuart and son-in-law Bobby of Seagrove, FL, Lanie Smith Davison of Douglasville, GA and Lynn Smith Hedges and son-in-law Garry of Columbus, GA; six grandchildren, Merrell Mann of Summerville, SC, Katie Davison of San Francisco, CA, Daniel Davison of Chicago, IL, Lindsey Stuart of Seagrove, FL, Amy Davison of Douglasville, GA and Joshua Hedges of Midland, GA; four great grandchildren, Logan Mann, Grayson Mann and Macgregor Mann all of Summerville, SC and Jackson Hedges of Midland, GA; sister-in-law, Jo Flick of Atlanta, GA.
