Frances Lamberson Roop

Frances Lamberson Roop of Columbus, GA passed away on January 5, 2021 at the age of 78. Frances was born on September 15, 1942 in Columbus, GA. She was a devoted member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Frances is preceded in death by her daughter, Sara Wright, and sons, Louis Lamberson and Larry Lamberson, husband, Kenneth Lamberson, husband, Edward Roop.
Frances is survived by her sons, Kenneth Lamberson II (Sally) and Samuel Lamberson (Teresa); and daughter-in-law, Julie Lamberson; step-sons, Alan Roop (Gail), Richard Roop (Patty) and Kevin Roop; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to sister, Joyce Wiggs, granddaughter Allie Rankin, niece, Liz Sweatt and nephew, Jimmy Fizer.
Family will receive friends and visitors at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory from 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2021. The funeral services will be held at Evangel Temple 11:00 AM Saturday, January 9, 2021 with Pastors Paul Thomas and Bud Rupel officiating. For those who are unable to attend the funeral service it will be livestreamed at http://watch.evangel.live/ . A graveside service will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, face coverings and social distancing will be required during visitation and funeral services.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in her memory to Evangel Temple or Columbus Hospice House.
