Frances Sybil Es'Dorn Futch, 91, of Columbus, Georgia passed away peacefully in her home on November 26, 2017.
Mrs. Futch was born March 14, 1926 to the late Glennie and Eva Causey Es'Dorn in Georgetown, South Carolina. She is preceded in death by her first husband, James F. "Mack" MacMillan; second husband, Joe M. Flournoy; third husband, Archer H. Futch; and two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Geoffrey MacMillan (Doron) of Occidental, CA, Martha Chewning (John) of Hamilton, GA, Currie Hancock of Columbus, GA, and Adam MacMillan (Lois) of Pensacola, FL; her grandchildren, Chloe' Hancock Rogel (Bernardo) of Buckhead, GA, Beatrice Hancock of Macon, GA, Etan Sharfman-MacMillan of Occidental, CA, and Nate Sharfman-MacMillan of Occidental, CA; her sister, Vivian Vereen; her stepchildren, John Flournoy (Page), Bob Flournoy (Nancy), Frank Flournoy (Hallie), Cardy Burdette (Fred), Marty Flournoy (Cindy), and Tom Flournoy (Lucille); and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Futch's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Loretta Richardson for providing comfort and care to Mrs. Futch in her later years.
Mrs. Futch, a longtime resident of Columbus, was an active member of the community, a selfless, loving mother and Granny, and kindhearted friend to all she encountered. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
