Rev. Foster C. Trout of Columbus, GA went to be with his Lord at 9:30 AM Tuesday July 31st 2018.
A memorial service will be held 4 PM Saturday August, 4, 2018 at Wynnbrook Baptist Church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907. Interment will be at the Westmoreland County Memorial Park in Greensburg, PA.
Foster entered the military service June 25, 1945 and received the infantry basic training at Camp Croft Army Base, Spartanburg, SC. He transferred to the Air Corp and served in Iceland with North Atlantic Wing of the Air Transport Command as a member of the crash crew.
Following his discharge, he worked as a plasterer. He married Eleanor Barnes at Greensburg, PA. In obedience to God's call for his life in 1956, he enrolled at the Toccoa Falls College, Toccoa, GA to prepare for the ministry. Upon graduation, he was a minister with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for 33 years. He pastored churches in Marietta, GA, Columbus, GA, Augusta, GA and Pittsburgh, PA. While pastoring, he led a number of tours to the Holy Land.
Rev. Trout was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor, of 40 years. On Dec. 4, 1993, he married Joan Finley of Charlotte, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, and five daughters: Carole Henke of Columbus, GA, and Ginger Rouse of Suffolk, VA, Dee Young of Ocala, FL, Susan Tiner of Pittsburgh, PA, Diane Morin of Baraga, MI, seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
