Forrest Grimes Flanagan

Forrest Grimes Flanagan, 90, of Columbus died Sunday April 13, 2014 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday April 15, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Wilhite officiating. A private burial will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will follow the services at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Forrest was born October 15, 1923 in Beehive, Alabama. He retired after 32 years as a truck driver with Nabisco, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and an Air Force veteran serving in WWII. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lillie Yalborough, Ruby Smith, Catherine Flanagan, Lucille Hudson, brothers, Howard, Leon, Hershel, Curtis, Everett and Douglas Flanagan.
Forrest is survived by his wife of 62 years Leona S. Flanagan of Columbus; brother and sister-in-law, Don Seegar and Bernice Seegar of Columbus, GA; brother-in-law, Thomas Seegar of Prior Lake, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gardens of Calvary 7595 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909 and Columbus Hospice House 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
