Floyd Gordon Moye, 87, Hamilton, GA, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Moye was born May 19, 1926 in Hamilton, GA son of the late Bennie Copeland Moye and Lydia Gordon Moye. He was a member of Wynnbrook Baptist Church and Fisherman Sunday School Class. Mr. Moye retired from the Post office as a clerk and retired from Muscogee County School District as a Bus Driver.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherline Kinney Moye; brothers, Frank Moye and Farley Moye; grandchild, Jack Moye; and great-grandchild, Shane Moye.
Survivors include his three sons, William Moye (Joy) of Columbus, GA, Bennie Moye of Atlanta, GA, and Mercer Moye (Eleta) of Terrace, Bristish Columbia, Canada; two daughters, Kathy Moye Robertson (Randall) of Travelers Rest, SC, and Virginia "Ginny" Moye of Greenville, SC; 10 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
