Faye Porter, 60, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, February 19, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vernon Prather officiating. Interment will be held in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Porter was born November 3, 1949 in Macon, GA daughter of the late Marvin and Gladys Smith Powers. She was a 1982 graduate of the Medical Center and St. Francis' School of Radiologic Technology. She was also a member of ASRT and ARRT and a Mormon by faith.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Porter of Columbus, GA, daughter, Kim Gibson (Bill) of Columbus, GA, son, Ken Earnest (Kimberly) of Fortson, GA, grandchildren, Jessie, Emily, Madison and Bradley, sisters, Linda Lancaster (Buddy) of Gray, GA and Gloria Thomas of Warner Robins, GA, brothers, Jeff Powers of Macon, GA and Gerald Powers of Hawaii, and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation P.O. Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
