Faye Lee Crenshaw
February 10, 1962 — April 16, 2018
Faye Lee Crenshaw of Columbus, GA was given the gift of life on February 10, 1962 and on April 16, 2018 at just 56 years old, it was time for Faye to give that gift back.
A Celebration of her life will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 20th, 2018 at Cascade Hills Church 727 54th St. Columbus, Ga. 31904 with Reverend Eric Wilbanks officiating. Visitation will follow the services according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907.
Although shorter than she hoped, Faye lived a good life and she considered herself a lucky woman to be the daughter of Raymond and Margaret, both deceased. Faye also considered herself very lucky to be part of the lives of those she left behind. The sister to Diane, Mike, Jerry and Tommy, the wife to her soul mate Steve for 37 years, the mom of her daughter Melanie, mother-in-law to Josh, Mimi to her perfect grandsons Justin and Jackson, and many other family members and friends.
When Faye was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in September of 2016, she decided to be joyful about having a full life, rather than sad about the fact that she would eventually die of this disease. Faye's faith in God helped her accept what she could not change and allowed her to help others in her life whom she loved, come to terms with it as well.
Faye's work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer you cannot refuse. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will spend eternity reading, gushing over her grandsons, and lying on a sunny beach to her hearts content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed, the food is delicious, and she can eat whatever she wants and never gain a pound. She left detailed instructions for her husband and daughter to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. And knowing Faye, low commitment to this instruction will most certainly not be tolerated. Faye had a wonderful sense of humor and was very witty, so please remember her with smiles, laughter, and love in your hearts.
