Everette Wayne Woodard, 68 of Midland, GA died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in Eufaula, AL.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Solid Rock Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jay Bailey, Dr. Steve Lowery and Dr. T. L. Lowery officiating. A private interment with Military Honors will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 6:00-8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mr. Woodard was born January 18, 1945 in War, WV son of the late Rev. C. R. Woodard and Rev. Martha Woodard. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving 15 years and served during the Vietnam War. He retired after 25 years from Pratt Whitney. He was a member of Solid Rock Assembly of God Church where he was a greeter with his wife Debi. He was passionate about his God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. His hobby was golf and he was a Marshall at Bull Creek Golf Course.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lorenzo Woodard and Gene Woodard.
Survivors include his wife of 29 ½ years Debi Whitehead Woodard of Midland, GA; daughter Andrea Siehler (Jonathan) of Midland, GA; son, David E. Gardner, Jr. (Shannon) of Clarksville, TN; sisters, Mildred Lowery (T.L.) and Ruth Hall (Bob) all of Cleveland, TN; brothers, Harvey Woodard of Pensacola, FL and Kenneth Woodard (Marcia) of Montgomery, AL; sister-in-law, Patti Zeggert (Leo) of Morrison, CO; brother-in-law, Bruce Whitehead (Linda) of Hamilton, GA; grandchildren, Aidan Gardner, Jaxson Gardner and Zane Siehler and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family wishes to thank all doctors and nurses who attended Wayne. A special thank you to all the ladies at Cobis Personal Care for so lovingly helping us care, for Wayne these last 3 months.
