Everett Ernst Miller

Everett Ernst Miller, 63, of Columbus, Georgia passed away at his home Saturday, June 17, 2023.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Tim Woodruff officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Everett was born October 6, 1959 in Munich, Germany to the late Earl Miller and Erika Urban Miller (Judah). He spent most of his childhood in Columbus, GA. He was a 1977 graduate of Columbus High School, where he developed a love of reading and was particularly active in band and ROTC. He attended Columbus College (now Columbus State University) and was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. Everett worked in food service for a time before transitioning to the financial services industry, including 14 years with GreenPoint Mortgage as an IT manager. Thereafter he worked at Fort Moore (Benning) providing IT support via Vectrus. Everett loved music and fishing, and throughout his life he was passionately devoted to his 4-legged companions.

He is survived by his former wife and current care-giver Karen Miller of Columbus, children Joy Rotz (Stephen) of Fayetteville, and Stephen Miller (Elizabeth) of Woodstock, along with three grandsons: Ethan, Caleb and Samuel Rotz. He is also survived by Brandon Miller of Five Points, Alabama. Everett was the oldest of several siblings: Ed Navarro (Elyse) of Lawton, Oklahoma, Charles Miller (Shannon) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, William Miller (Judy) of Waverly Hall, and Earl Miller (Cindy) of Waverly Hall.
