Eugene Gilmore, 77 of Phenix City died Monday, May 17, 2010 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 till 8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Gilmore was born December 20, 1932 in Andalusia, Alabama son of the late Mattie Lou Neice Gilmore and Beatt Gilmore. He had worked for Swift Textiles. He loved to go fishing, riding in the boat and working in his yard.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Mae Francis Gilmore; son, Thomas Gilmore; daughter, Janet Darling; granddaughters Misty Darling and Megan Darling all of Phenix City, AL; sister Josephine Harris of Andalusia, AL; brothers, John Gilmore of Maplesville, AL, James Gilmore and Devaughn Gilmore both of Phenix City, AL and several nieces and nephews.
