Estelle Gloria Carr, 76, of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rabbi Vern White officiating. Interment will be held 1:00 PM EST at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Carr was born March 8, 1939 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Rosier and Rudy Rushing Priester. She worked for 47 years as a Medical Transcriptionist consulting with several companies. She was a member of Kahila met Temple.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Earl D. Carr, daughters, Lisa Carr and Amy Forsyth, sons, Kenny Wayne Carr and Michael E. Carr all of Phenix City, AL, sisters, Shirley Welch of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Edith Priester Wyatt of Columbus, GA, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society 233 12th St. Suite 710 Columbus, GA 31901.
