Erika Rosa Rogers, 71 , of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, August 23, 2010 at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery with Reverend Gene Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Rogers was born March 25, 1939 in Ettlingen, Germany daughter of the late Otto Adolf and Gertrud Maria Findling Heiss. She was a homemaker and was a member of the VFW for over 20 years. For many years she volunteered at the Springer Opera House. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Evelyn K. Stachowiak and Patricia R. Ringham.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Rogers of Columbus, GA, daughters, Judy A. Walker (Jim) of Columbus, GA, Carol D. Mailman (James) of Columbus, GA and Michele Rogers of Columbus, GA, stepchildren, Charles E. Rogers, Jr. (Sharon) of Wesley Chapel, FL, Sandy R. Rogers (Lorena) of Alpharetta, GA and Cindy K. Rogers of Lady Lake, FL, grandchildren, Jean Walker Sibary (Trevor) of Columbus, GA, Eric W. Mailman and Jason M. Mailman both of Columbus, GA, step grandchildren, Deena Rogers, Christopher Rogers and Dakota Rogers, great grandchild, Amelia E. Sibary of Columbus, GA.
