Emory C. Jones

Emory C. "E.C." Jones, 84, of Pine Mountain Valley, GA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at VistaCare of Franciscan Woods. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 20, 2009 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Lipp officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
The following will serve as active pallbearers: Billy Brooks, III, Andrew Clark, Chris Delph, Matthew Filbeck, Andy Hovey, William Lewis, and Corey Matthews.
Mr. Jones was born August 18, 1925 in Blount Town, FL son of the late Tom and Irene Jones.
He retired in 1983 from the Bibb Mill as an Auditor, a member of Community Chapel and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Jones was also an Ordained Minister.
Mr. Jones was married to Ellen Jones and they would have celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday, November 19, 2009. He had three sons, Lamar (Linda), David (Barbara), and Eugene (Tricia), one sister, Mary Macon. He and his wife Ellen have a special relationship with Tammy Watson.
Mr. Jones had eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren that he loved and who all loved him very much.
