Emmett Gerald Davis, 72 of Seale died Thursday, October 27, 2010 at the Medical Center in Columbus.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Monday, November 1, 2010 at Seale Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Deliz officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 till 6 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Davis was born March 29, 1938 in Coffee County, AL son of the late Vertice Nelson McCarley and Emmett P. Davis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a retired Supervisor for the Housing Authority of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his daughter Synthia Estes, sister Dorothy Hart and brother-in-law John Hart.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Gerrye H. Davis of Seale, AL; daughters, AL, Melinda Smith of Seale, AL, Pricilla Cram of Ft. Mitchell, AL, Debbie Nobles of Washington State, Kathy Wood of Oklahoma and Fay Capps of Phenix City, AL; son Michael Powell of Seale, AL; sister, Peggy Newsom of Phenix City, AL; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
