Emma Patsella Sellers, 71 of Phenix City died Wednesday evening at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, 613 14th St. Phenix City, with Rev. Michael Greer officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Mrs Sellers was born July 21, 1939 in Anderson County, TN daughter of the late Pauline Holder Gibbs and Amos Gibbs. She was the Staffing Coordinator for Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of Shady Woods Faith Christian Church. She loved to go dancing and bowling. She also loved to cook and arrange flowers.
Surivors include her husband Walter B. Sellers of Phenix City, AL; daughters Bunny M. Bates (Michael) of Lawtey, FL, Nicole L. Padilla (Raul) of Lawtey, FL; Karen Chandler (Gary) of Powell, TN, Nina Moore (Ken) of Phenix City, AL; Rhonda Lewis (David) of Salem, AL; Margaret Whitener of Phenix City, AL; son Laron Whitener (Lynn) of Soddy Daisy, TN; sisters Andera Mae Stark (Floyd) of Pearl River, LA and Neomi Davenport (David) of Barlow, TN; eighteen grandchildren Becki Lindsey, Joey Lindsey (Stella), David Williams, Justin Graham, Katie Chandler, Ashleigh Lewis, DJ Lewis, Heather Whitener, Nicole Barrineau (Chris), Josh Bunch, Cody Whitener (Valerie), Montana Woodard, Dameon Woodard, Savannah Woodard, Teah Smith, Layacia Padilla, Leskai Padilla and Kenny Moore; seven great grandchildren Christopher, Alexis, Aron, Colton, Braydon, Aubrie and Kyndal; several nieces and nephews; dear friends Betty Sands and Janet Collins.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Vista Care Hospice, Freedom Home Care, John B. Amos Cancer Center and especially her loving church family.
