Emily Annetta Faulk, 82, of Columbus, GA died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Vista Care at Franciscan Woods.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Asbury United Methodist Church 2312 Ellen Avenue Columbus, GA 31903 with Reverend Wayne Anthony officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Faulk was born September 23, 1928 in Pinehurst, NC daughter of the late Rodger and Mae Wingate Utley. She retired after 20 years working for the Civil Service as a key punch operator. She was the Chaplain for the Ladies Auxiliary in the local Shriner's Club. She also served as President for the Guardette Club of Columbus. She was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church for over 45 years where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She later was a homemaker and loved working with ceramics.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dick Utley.
Survivors include her husband, Andrew K. Faulk of Columbus, GA, son, Andrew K. Faulk, Jr. (Peggy) of Lompoc, CA and Robert D. Faulk (Pam) of Jacksonville, FL, daughter, Deborah Lynn Deveau (Bruce) of Phenix City, AL, sisters, Dana Gerloski (John) of Fayetteville, NC and Deihl Lyles (R.C.) of Topeka, KS, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial donations to Asbury United Methodist Church.
