Else Hedgecock, 75, of Columbus, Ga. died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Martin Army Community Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. David Dawson officiating. A private burial will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907.
Else was born December 27, 1940 in Stuttgart, Germany, the daughter of the late Astrid Kiene. She was the owner and operator of Roby Package Store. She was a member of the American Legion Post 35, loved to cook and loved her animals, especially Sassy.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John K. Hedgecock of Columbus, GA; daughters, Cindy Young Russell (Michael Brian) of Cataula, GA, Wanda Young of Columbus, GA, 4 grandchildren, Jessica Rene Knight, Zachary Lawerence Knight, Miguel Latara Smith and Logan Alexander Knight along with a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PAWS Humane Society, 4900 Milgen Road Columbus, GA 31909.
