Eloise B. Wright 88, of Columbus died Monday, July 09, 2018 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wright was born December 4, 1929 in Columbus, Georgia daughter of the late Alex and Willa Hasty Bailey. She retired after 20 years with the State of Georgia working for the Columbus Health Department as a Substance Abuse Counselor.
Mrs. Wright was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. She loved her family, flowers, working in her yard, swimming at the beach and dancing.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Wright is preceded in death by her son Greg Wright.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, John W. Wright, children, John Robin Wright of Barnsville, Ga. and Jill W. Turner (J.R.) of Smyrna, Ga., brother, Michael Bailey (Inez) of Columbus, Ga., grandchildren, Kimberley Pitts, Kelli Slappey (Greg), Julie R. Costantine (Trey), Mary Turner, Great Grandchildren, Amanda Long, Justin Pitts, Rachael Pitts, Taylor Slappey, Trevor Slappey, Great Great Grandchildren Brayden Holland and Aiden Pitts.
