Eloise "Nu Nu" Virginia Manuel, 89, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at Cascade Hills Church 727 54th St. Columbus, GA 31904 with Dr. Bill Purvis and Reverend Bob Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Manuel was born December 12, 1926 in Stephens City, VA daughter of the late Benjamin Haller Beaver and Bertha Frances Strode Beaver. She worked as a Bookkeeper for Tri-City Cleaners for 56 years and was a member of Cascade Hills Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LTC (Ret.) Ralph Edward Manuel, sisters, Anna Margaret Snapp and Irene Nicholson, and brothers, Roy Beaver and James Beaver.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Lehner of Virginia Beach, VA and Chelzie Colson of Columbus, GA, sister, Helen Perry of Winchester, VA, four grandchildren, Katie Colson of Atlanta, GA, Blaine Lehner of Delray Beach, FL, "Jake" Colson, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and Leslie Lehner of Virginia Beach, VA, and four great grandchildren, Maddie Colson, Katie Colson, Charley Colson and Chance Suiter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Cascade Hills Church Building Fund "Whatever It Takes Fund" www.cascadehills.com.
