Elleen Harbuck Jaynes, 89, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at VistaCare at Franciscan Woods.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 24, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Van Dyke officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Jaynes was born January 29, 1921 in Chattahoochee County, GA daughter of the late George Oliver Harbuck and Willie Weed Harbuck. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Benning Hills Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Jenss.
Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Jaynes Jenss (Edward) of Huntsville, AL, son, Ron A. Jaynes (Glynda) of Columbus, GA, sister, Sarah Roberts of Columbus, GA, two great granddaughters, Holly and Abby Jenss, and granddaughter-in-law, Jeannie Phipps.
