Columbus, GA- Elizabeth Louise James Gaskins, 77, of Columbus, GA died Saturday January 18, 2014 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receieve friends Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 at the funeral home.
Elizabeth Louise James Gaskins was born in Hephzibah, GA and has lived in Valdosta, GA and Columbus, GA for most of her life. Louise was a member of Central Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Evelyn James and her brother Terry James of Hephzibah, GA.
She is survived by four children: Tony (Karen) Gaskins of Columbus, GA, Roy Gaskins of Jacksonville, FL, Diane G. (Ken) Brantley of Midland, GA, and Jon (Amy) Gaskins of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister, Catherine Hargis of Martinez, GA and four brothers, Gerald "Joe" James of Augusta, GA, Lawrence James of Hephzibah, GA, Billy James of Martinez, GA and Larry James of Athens, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Lebanon Church, 3965 Deans Bridge Rd., Hephzibah, GA 30815.
