Elizabeth Talley Floyd 91 of Columbus, Ga died Friday, March 26, 2010 at her residence.

Graveside funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010 in Parkhill Cemetery
with Dr. Edwin (Buddy) Cooper of St. Paul United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive
friends Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
The following will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Salvador Diaz-Verson, III, Joshua Lee, Frank Hanlon, Robert Jenkins, Greg Pearson and Mark Nagy.

Mrs. Floyd was born October 31, 1918 in Buffalo, AL, the daughter of the late John Talley and Ludie Golden Talley.

Mrs. Floyd worked at the Columbus Iron Works (W.C. Bradley Co.) for over 20 years, leaving there to become office manager of the Columbus division of Fulton Supply Co. After retiring from Fulton Supply, she eventually joined her husband as a sales associate for American Family Life (Aflac). When he suffered a debilitating stroke in 1988, she returned to full time employ first as secretary for the Columbus Jaycees, then later at W.C. Bradley Co. as receptionist for Human Resources, where she was known and loved for her warm smile and gracious southern charm. Although a stroke in 1997 ended her long work career just shy of her 79th birthday, she continued to enjoy traveling with her friends and spending time with her family.
