Eleanor Taylor Williams 86, of Columbus, Georgia died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Beallwood Baptist Church 4650 Veterans Pkwy Columbus, Georgia 31904 with Rev. Billy Duncan and Rev. Eric Ogden officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Ga. 31907

In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory will require masks for those attending the visitation and funeral service.

Mrs. Williams was born March 07, 1934 in Columbus, Georgia daughter of the late Charlie W. and Murkel Watson Taylor. She was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church, and worked in the family grocery business and later for the Muscogee County School District. Mrs. Williams loved to travel, her Saturday yard sales, and most importantly spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband David W. Williams, Sr., her brother, Lamar Taylor and sisters, Peggy Slaughter and Gloria Watson.

Survivors include her children; Tommy Williams and his wife Cindy of Phenix City, Al., Jimbo Williams and his wife Beth of Columbus, Ga., and David “Dee” Williams, Jr. and his wife Tonia of Phenix City, Al. brother, Byron Taylor of Columbus, Georgia ,sisters, Wanda Ogden and husband Bill of Ellerslie, Ga., Renvia Hunsinger and husband Danny of Ellersilie, Ga., Patricia Brister and husband Tommy of West Monroe, La., grandchildren, Brett Williams (Aly), Lauren Williams Achtziger (Chris), Amy Williams Weiss (Eric), Drew Williams (Brooke), Trey Williams, Alexis Williams and 9 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams is also survived by her brother-in-laws, D.P. Williams and Russell Williams (Gail).

The family would like to express their appreciation to her caregivers; Posie Williams, Neet Wiggons, Charlene Brown, Freda Brundidge and to Cindy Shaw and Paula Jefferson of Preferred Hospice for all the love and support during this time of sadness.
