Eleanor G. Tanner 104, of Columbus, Georgia went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2021 at her residence at the Gardens of Calvary.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Evergreen Memory Gardens 4500 St. Mary’s Road Columbus, Georgia 31904 with Chaplain Neal Stevens officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia.
Mrs. Tanner was born February 22, 1917 in Baltimore, MD. daughter of the late Stephan and Catherine Muszynski Kleszczewski. She was a homemaker and a World War II veteran serving in the Women’s Army Auxiliary. She was known as the “Kit-Kat” candy queen at the Gardens of Calvary where she resided for 18 years.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Tanner was preceded in death by her husband Joe T. Tanner; son Dean W. and great-grandchild Tiffany Banville.
Survivors include her son, Gerald and daughter in law Margie of Columbus, Georgia, grandchildren, Debbie and Jim Wetherington, Cathy and Allan McCarty and Jim Banville, 8 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
