Eleanor Bush, 85 of Fortson, Ga. was promoted to Glory on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at her residence according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Salvation Army Chapel, 5201 Warm Springs Rd., Columbus, Ga. 31909 with Lt. Col. Jack Waters officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall. A light meal will be provided.
Mrs. Bush was born July 29, 1929 in Franklinton, N.C. She was the daughter of Zack and Mary Duncan Bowes. She was a minister in the Salvation Army.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Neil Bush.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Bush (Teresa) of Columbus, Ga., and daughters, Sharon (Hal) Taylor of New Market, Tn and Cindy Chissus (Lee) of Palm Harbor, Fl. Grandchildren are: Jason Haught, Ashley Bush, Zachary Bush, Benjamin Taylor, Alyse Taylor, Kenneth Bush-Tarte and James Tarte. She is also survived by a brother, Avon Bowes (Loretta) of Henderson, N.C. and a niece, Frances Winstead (John) of Wilson, N.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Salvation Army, 5201 Warm Springs Rd, Columbus, Ga. 31909.
