Elaine Mary Livingston, 78, of Smiths, AL, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at her Residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Jose J. Paillacho officiating. Interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Livingston was born September 26, 1939 in Cloquet, MN, daughter of the late Walter Cardinal and Maxine Boutang Cardinal. She taught for many years at Troy State University, and was the Director of Quality Assurance at Ft. Benning, GA. She was instrumental in Soldiers receiving credit for the job they performed in the United States Army. She also was on the Board for the Russell County Battered Women's Shelter. She taught English Teacher at Central High School
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Lamar Jenkins, Sr. of Smiths, AL; two sons, Edwin Charles Livingston and Walter Joseph Livingston both of Smiths, AL; step-son, Stephen L. Jenkins, Jr (Stephanie) of Shiloh, GA; best friend, Bridgette Horn-Brophy of Columbus, GA; brother-in-law: John Jenkins (Jeannie) of Opelika, AL; sister-in-law, Kay Jenkins of Columbus, GA; niece, Jessi Jenkins of Columbus, GA; mother-in-law: Margaret Jenkins of Columbus, GA and grandchildren, Sarah Grace and David "D.J." Jenkins.
