Edwin Eudon Hartley, 84, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday October 14, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday October 17, 2014 at Trinity Temple Assembly of God with Rev. David Howle officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA.
Mr. Hartley was born October 14, 1930 in Headland, AL to the late William Van Hartley and Mary Whatley Hartley. He retired from the Civil Service transportation department and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Hartley enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, reading, and watching the Atlanta Braves baseball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Geraldine Fuller Hartley, his parents, and by three sisters, Lizzy Mae Hutchinson, Louise Whitaker, and Nadine Hice.
Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Napier (Bill) of Columbus, GA, Debra Berger of Columbus, GA, Debra Lisenby (Jim) of Cumming, GA, and Pamela Boyd of Lawrenceville, GA, sons, Edwin E. Hartley, Jr. (Donna) of Portland, OR and Durwood Boyd (Patty) of Douglasville, GA, eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Temple, 3000 12th Ave. Columbus, GA 31904.
