Edna Earle Turman

Edna Earle McCullers Turman, 93, of Columbus, GA passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at home surrounded by loved ones.
A private graveside service will be held at Riverdale Cemetery 1000 Victory Dr. Columbus, GA 31901 with Reverend Michael Stiggers officiating. A public visitation will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
She was born in the Springhead Community near Plant City, Florida to David Matthew McCullers and Ollie E. Hogan McCullers.
After a brief period of work in her younger days, she met her life long love, Frank, in Live Oak, FL. She then became a military wife and mother, volunteering for the American Red Cross and accompanying the family to France, Germany and Turkey before settling in Columbus, GA. Her final years were spent as the receptionist at Turman Realty Company, Inc.
Mrs. Turman was preceded in death by her parents and eleven siblings.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Frank A. Turman, three children, Bill (Dixie), Frankie, and Bob Turman all of Columbus, GA; two granddaughters, Shannon Rowe (Jonathan) and Angela McRae-Reed, and three great-grands, Andrew Rowe, AnnaBelle McRae and Graham Reed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice Care, 2901 Warm Springs Rd., Columbus, GA 31904.
