Edna B. Edge, formerly of Phenix City, AL passed away March 22, 2014.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Edge was born June 23, 1922 in Columbus, GA daughter of Edgar N. Byrd, Sr. and Odessa H. Byrd.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar N. Byrd Sr,; mother, Odessa H. Byrd; granddaughter, Wendy; and brother, Edgar N. Byrd Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Norton L. Edge; daughter and son in law, Lynda and Rick Sturdivant; grandchildren, Wesley Sturdivant, Misty Sturdivant; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Payge Elizabeth, Paige Nicole and Joshua; sister and brother- in- law, Sara and William Corbett; and nine nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions in her name be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org/
