Edna M. Brown

Edna Mae Brown of Columbus, GA died in her sleep Friday October 27, 2017. She was 94 years old. Mrs. Brown, daughter of the late Henry Nevin and Ilga Earline Lumpkin, was born November 28, 1922 in Columbus, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, her husband LTC Ret. Gerald Wesley Brown, and her son Michael.
She is survived by her daughters and sons in law Deborah and Ken Sutton, Aliecia McDowell and Steve McCool, her sister Betty Cartledge, seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown worked as a registered nurse for more than 30 years then spent the remainder of her working career as a real estate agent for REMAX. She was a lifelong member of Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00AM at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Howard White and Rev. Lynn Meadows-White officiating.
