Edith Myers White, 89, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, February 16 after a long illness.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 20, 2012 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Lamar Harper of Rose Hill United Methodist Church presiding according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
She was born on June 11, 1922, in Columbus, GA, the cherished daughter of the late Arthur E. Myers and the late Pauline Coppedge Myers. She was a lifelong resident of Columbus, GA, and was retired from the McKesson Corporation after more than 45 years of service. She was a member of Rose Hill United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Myers Alexander of Columbus, GA and brothers, Richard Myers of Columbus, GA, Heyward Myers of Athens, GA, and Melton Myers of Prattville, AL.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gordon Perry (Alan) of Columbus, grandson, Elliot Vogt (Bethany) of Columbus, grandson, Cody Perry of Columbus, great-granddaughter, Hannah Vogt of Columbus, niece, Lyn Coburn of Loganville, GA, niece, Susan Myers of Marietta, GA, and other great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Rose Hill United Methodist Church, 2101 Hamilton Rd., Columbus, GA 31904.
