Edith Lynn, 84, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Vista Care Center of Franciscan Woods.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Hank Reeves officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers; Ed Pritchett, Lane Jimmerson, Chester Bowers, Harold Pritchett, Bart Washington, and Rick Smith. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Lynn was born June 14, 1925 in Scotland County, NC daughter of the late James Oliver and Carrie Reese Norton. She was the Co-Owner of Frank's Fine Foods of Columbus, GA where she retired. She was a member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church and also a member of the Sr. Adult Sunday School Class. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Bell, brother, Jimmy Norton, and sister, Alice Deprito.
Survivors include her husband, Allen H. Lynn of Columbus, GA, daughters, Alisa Caldwell (Donald) of Mableton, GA and Starla Woodruff (Randy) of Phenix City, AL, son, Brian Lynn of Columbus, GA, grandson, Christopher Woodruff of Phenix City, AL, granddaughters, Ashley Woodruff of Phenix City, AL and Courtney Caldwell of Mableton, GA, grandson, Jeremy Caldwell of Mableton, GA, nephews, Jamie Baggett of Columbus, GA and Jason Baggett of Columbus, GA, and nieces, Kim Labodie of Savannah, GA and Pat Lathrop of North Carolina.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Glenn Anthony Baptist Church 1109 39th St. Columbus, GA or your favorite charity.
