Edith Jeanette "Jane" Gallops, 91, of Columbus, GA died Monday, October 19, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Alan McDaniel officiating. A private interment will be held at Riverdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 PM and after the service at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Gallops was born June 28, 1924 in Shiloh, GA daughter of the late Jimmie Louis Moore and Mary Anderson Moore. She was a homemaker and a member of Sherwood United Methodist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Gallops, Jr., sisters, Annie Lurlyne Lucas and Lillian Ione Howard, and grandchild, Courtney Michelle Rachalla.
Survivors include her three loving sons, Donald George Gallops (Judy) of Salem, AL, son who was also her devoted caregiver, Richard Elmer Gallops of Columbus, GA and Robert Louis Gallops (Cathy) of Phenix City, AL, sister, Emily Grace McDaniel of Shiloh, GA, sister-in-law, Joan Gallops, grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Gallops, Rachel Gallops White (Wallace), Skylar Smith and Nate "Bubba" Smith, Jr., great grandchildren, Baylor Gallops and Lanier Gallops, and several other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
